Empowered Insurance LLC is a licensed independent insurance agency headquartered in Tampa, Florida. We were founded by Jorge Soba and Michael Smith around a simple frustration: consumers were being sold policies they could not explain, by people they could not reach afterward.
1 What "independent" means for you
A captive agent works for one carrier and can only show you that carrier's products. We are independent and appointed with multiple commercial carriers, so we can put real alternatives next to each other and tell you where each one is weak. Our advisors are licensed in 30+ states.

Leads agency operations and the advisor team, and built the systems the agency runs on so clients get consistent service regardless of which advisor they work with.
Michael Smith
Focuses on carrier relationships and product strategy, making sure the plans we can offer are ones we would put our own families on.
4 How we handle your information
We collect only what we need to quote and service your coverage, we tell you before we contact you, and we contact you only in the ways you agreed to. We do not sell your personal information, and we never sell or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.
